Hi ALL


The Agent is responding for string data type alone 
but says Timeout for Integer datatypes os sometimes 
gives garbage values why??Please do help soo

Hi All

THE AGENT IS RESPONDING FOR BOTH  THE INTEGERS AND STRING.

the mistake i made was i was giving make command to 
compile but i think it requries  make install.The other 
problem was snmpd has to be killed before runnig make 
install and after giving make insatll again the daemon
(snmpd)should be started.

After solving this problem, I was able to retrive the 
integer value but it was not the one i gave.then i found 
out that it was the address and i made neccessary change 
in the code to get the "value at the address".

I m working in Linux and the version is net-snmp-5.3.1
I m able to retrieve the values for charcter data types 
but not for Integers.....

Already i ve seen the same problem being mentioned by some 
person but no solution was given...........

The error is Timeout: No Response from localhost or some 
times it gives back garbage values.......

What OS type/version? What net-snmp version? What *exactly*
are you doing and what *exact* errors do you get?
