Summary: CPU load snmptrapd
Initial Comment:
I just installed net-snmp 5.0.3 on AIX5L
With nmon i recognize that snmptrapd uses the CPU
with 97-99%.
The nmon output looks like:
PID %CPU ... Command
24758 99.5 ... snmptrapd
Please help me out this because we need snmptrapd
but not in this way!

it shouldn't be doing that unless it's being flooded with traps.
Can you tell us more about the environment? IE, is it actually
receiving traps (run with -P -d to find out).
It might be an AIX issue, as none of the core developers use
it.
If you have something like strace, or other similar tool,
installed you might run it to figure out what it's doing when it's
working so hard.
