Try to change ur nessus scan setting through GUI.
Probabily,ur ping setting is the reason for empty report.
Try to scan with ICMP Ping (default is TCP Ping) or
disable the Remote Machine ping option.

Subject: nessusd returns an empty report

I have just installed nessus 2.2 on Fedora Core 2 and for anything but the most \
basic scan I get "nessusd returned an empty report"...I have tried to adjust the \
buffer size in data_mining.c and monitor_mining.c but this does not work \
either....any help would be appreciated.

  Thanks,

  Vinny
