Greetings all. This is an anouncement that a new version of the
update-nessusrc script has been released. This script is a quick utility
to dynamically create new and updated .nessusrc files from the command
line. It supports enabling/disabling groups of plugins based on families.
The script is used when you want to run Nessus from cron (or other
non-interactive method). The script is written in Python and is free.

This version now supports using the Nessus 2.x client to dump the
server's plugin list, rather than communicating directly with the server.
Of course, direct nessusd communication (plain-text) is still supported if
you prefer that. Family definitions were also updated in this version.
