Subject: Running through a Proxy

I see from the list that you do not recommend running through a firewall. I
run Wingate Proxy server 4.5 with the firewall disabled on a Win 2000 system
it runs NAT. I have now got Nessus running and it is able to carry out an
attack on the Win2000 system. Nmap and Nessus both get out through the Proxy
but they are not able to report on responses. Is there anything I can do as
I don’t really want to purchase a router for my home network.
