I would think .Org would be better.  But it's really up to what they
want and what the IANA says when they apply for that...

And Mitre Corporation is Mitre.Org ... you can probably find a
precedent for anything if you try hard enough.  Would you like to try
for .Int?  :-)

   [...] com [is for] commercial (i.e., profit-making) [...], making
   org seem more reasonable.

That's my reasoning behind suggesting .Org, they should decide what
they think they want and apply for it, the worst that will happen is
negotiation with IANA...
