It seems that the first problem is to be able to talk about UUCP hosts
within the Internet domain universe. If indeed it is considered a good
thing to be able to talk about any host that is willingto register with
the UUCP registery, then that registry should be visible as a domain.
Level 1 or level 2? I don't know.

Now, once this point is established, it is up to the sites that maintain
the registry database to do sensible things with what they record. But
that is a second-level problem.

It somehow seems to me that a top-level UUCP domain, assigned to the
registry, makes more sense than trying to register each individual UUCP
site as one of COR, EDU, etc, and that this is an example of the point I
have tried to make. I.E. -- top level domains should reflect real
entities capable and willing to administer very large segments of the
namespace.
