It's been playing one file for almost two hours now with no sign of any 
problem, and very little except upnp system-management messages in the log.

v0.28-pre-2245-g82da6e1

The setup now is

ln -s ~/Music/channid_starttime.mp2 ~/MusicSG1/Next/ReadableName.mp3

The All Tracks menu on the TV shows

    Duration 0:00:00   |   ReadableName       Unknown Artist
    Format   Music     |

and during play the TV shows

    ReadableName
    Unknown Album
    Unknown Artist
                           /
    plus a working Play/Pause button and a blank progress bar.

The mp3 rename seems to be required, but the log shows the original 
filename - and a misleading mime type

HTTPRequest::TestMimeType(/home/john/Music/1703_20140916125600.mp2) - 
type is text/plain
