This is a somewhat old problem. I think AC-3 audio is being
decoded as MP2 audio, but I haven't looked at it myself. There
was some discussion on this in the list a while back, I don't
remember what the conclusion/solution/workaround was.

AVFormatDecoder and libav are probably where you want to look
to fix this.
