  I actually suggested something along these lines on the IRC channel a
while back, although I took it a little further, and allowed bitmasks for
minute, hour, day of week, day of month, and month, plus an int for year, to
allow cron-type scheduling.  I made this suggestion along with a redesign of
mythconverg, and Isaac asked that I wait until something happened with
zap2it, and I've never heard anything more about it.

my initial proposal (I think it's been well over a month now), so it's going
to be a bit out of date, but I'm still waiting to see what changes zap2it is
going to institute.
