I agree. It is key to see what you are actually sending over be careful about the number being a number vs text. Als the semicolon shouldn't be needed but the string needs to be loaded correctly.

This is hard to believe. I never ever used this character in an SQL 
statement. I use JavaScript when I program for ASP.

Can print the resulting sSql value to the output?

You can print it into an HTML comment and then view the source to see it.
