Hey Satyr,

Did you check that adminuser has permission to access the DB from the IP
you are trying to connect from?  It seems like a security issue to me.

Hi!

I set up new db 4.0.14 on linux box. It looks to work
fine. Now I try to create ODBC data source to it, but
it fails with :

[Mysql][ODBC 3.51 Driver] Can't connect to MySql
server on <ip address> (10061).

I have 3.51.06.

setup:
host: <ip address>
db name: testing
user : adminuser
passd: ...
port (if not 3306)

telnet <ip address> 3306 connects ok and since I can
access db with mysql -u adminuser -p testing 
fine, then it must on odbc. 

Any clues anyone ?
