As far as I know, the only environment variable you have to worry about
is the CLASSPATH variable.  This must be set to the directory that the
mmsysql jar file is in.
For example, if the jar file is in: /dir1/dir2/java/classes
then (if you are using Apache Jserv) you would put:
    wrapper.classpath=/dir1/dir2/java/classes
into the jserv_properties file.
If you are setting it in the .profile or .cshrc, it would be similar:
CLASSPATH=/dir1/dir2/java/classes
