Unfortunately, AFAIK the only way to connect from a Mac to mysql is via
Java, which is works well for me with MRJ 2.0. Web-based access (where the
actual db access happens on the server) of course works fine as well.
A C client library or Perl DBD module would be a welcome addition ...
