Hello,

was anyone successful in deploying J2EE applications besides the examples you can \
deploy and test using http://linux:50000/index.html ?

I'm using NW4 Testdrive on SuSE 9.3 with MaxDB on a single server without and without \
internet access so there's no local ip besides 127.0.0.1 .

I installed NWDS using CrossOver Office. Everything is OK but I can't deploy my \
J2EE-Applications. Later I installed a newer version NSWD \
https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloaditem?rid=/library/uuid/cfc19866-0401-0010-35b2-dc8158247fb6 \
and later the corresponding sdm. But I always get the same message: "SDM could not \
start the J2EE cluster on host nw4host":

Sep 5, 2005 11:08:11 PM Info: ***** End of SAP J2EE Engine Deployment (J2EE \
Application) ***** Sep 5, 2005 11:08:11 PM Error: Aborted: development component \
'HW2'/'sap.com'/'localhost'/'2005.09.03.18.49.08': SDM could not start the J2EE \
cluster on the host nw4host! The online deployment is terminated.  JStartup Framework \
is not able to deliver an information about the cluster control instances!  Please \
check the status of the J2EE Engine

I searched the OSS and checked following:

*) dispatcher, SDM and server00 are up and running. 

*) The J2EE Engine was started: The file /usr/sap/NW4DVEBMGS00/work/dev_jcontrol does \
exist. 

*) OSS Note 739247 says that this problem will be solved in Support Package 6. On the \
testdrive I have 6.30 SP 7 so I guess I shouldn't have any problem.

*) OSS 738402 can't be the reason because J2EE Engine Message Server and Message \
Server should be running by default. If I understand OSS 739190 right that timeout \
should be solved with the configuration of the testdrive.

*) OSS 756084 is quite long but I think the testdrive should be according to that \
note: SDM runs in "integrated" mode. I don't believe neither in timeouts and the \
security credentials are OK.

After installing the new sdm (6.4011.00.0000.20050207154237.0000 API Version 5) the \
problem isn't solved but I get an additional error information:
