I had/have this issue as well. The link dummy form was not being created 
by the javascript, so my links were not working on my pages.

I changed my index.jsp to be a javascript redirect instead of a 
jsp:forward to get around the problem for now.
(window.location = '/pages/home.jsf') for your example.
