Sounds like the problem with Temp directories not being deleted. The hotfix
for the this problem did not help us. We delete the temp directories on
server reboots and haven't seen the problems you describe since.

Hi again,

I was having lots of profile problems on WTS and decided to apply the post
SP4 fix supplied by Microsoft.  That seemed to minimize the problems, but
some users are still having problems.  Some of the symptoms are:
1) Word has problems opening their Normal.dot (In their home sapce)
2) Cannot open Excel files
3) Cannot start MS-Project 98, it complains it can't open their global.mpt
(also in their home space)

All these problems go away by logging off and logging back in, although
sometimes it takes more than one logoff.  This leads me to believe that the
profiles are still getting corrupt at times, but I have no clue on how to
fix it once and for all.  It's better than before, but it's still not
acceptable.

Is anybody else seeing this problem?
Are these profile problems?

I have placed the normal.dot and global.mpt in their home space as it was
required in WinFrame.
