I have written a perl script to check for new data in a specific location,
scrub/untaint it, and load it to MySQL.

I want to run it as a cron script. I certainly don't want to have to type
the password in by hand each time or hard-code it in the script where others
might see it.

What is the correct procedure for running MySQL queries from cron?
