That´s a really good question.

Has anyone test RS422 deck control with WME9? The online help is not
that helpful. Controlling a DV/DVCam Recorder/Player Device works fine
but how does it work e.g. with a Sony PVW 2800 with RS422?

Someone from Microsoft who knows? This could be an important issue for
our business. Today we use a dps Velocity to capture and (batch) encode
if the source is Beta SP.

Betreff: Using the encoder Master from Microsoft with a RS422 Device

Does someone have ever used the Windows media master encoder that should
allow to encode content from professionnal videotape that uses RS422
Sony Protocols? This type of Windows Media encoder allow to encode in
using a Timecode control. I don't success in using it, it seems to not
recognize my VTR, that is a very simple Sony Beta Dig deck.
