Hi everybody!

I'm new here, so I'd be very glad if all you could help me.
I've been using Windows Media Encoder 7.1 in my W2000 Server edition
without any "problems" (the problems are that the latency is very high
and I can't reduce it anyway), but I'm very dissapointed with the
results of this encoder to broadcast video from a web-camera.

Other problem: I've recently tried to install the WM Encoder Series 9
Beta, and it forces me to install DirectX 8.1 or higher. I've
downloaded this program and install it correctly, and when I try again
to install the Series 9.....
the same error occurs again and again. My OS is W2000 Server....this
could be the reason of the error? And if I continue using the Encoder
7.1 would I stay very antiquated? Please answer me that I'm getting
desperated.

As I'm new, other question to finish my first time here: What's the
difference between Windows Media Server 4.1 and the Encoder? I'd like
to broadcast a video captured from a webcam to some clients that will
connct my server by URL. What should I use, I've worked with both, and
the delay is 10 seconds in both utilities. So far, I'm completely
desperated with the latency. Please..........HELP ME! I'd be very-very
grateful.
