Hello Timmy.

Unfortunately, the behavior that you are seeing is the way things work.
The underpinnings of each player is quite different and while we tried
to maintain compatibility, this is one area where they don't act the
same.  I am sorry about that.

As for Corona, I don't have a specific answer but if I were a betting
man, I would bet that it works like Version 7.X.
