I have sorted the problem of the error messages, after finally consulting
the manual I found that there was an enable VFW (video for Windows)
capturing setting under Multimedia devices on Control Panel. But now when I
try and either broadcast this input or archive it the encoder just sits
there frozen. Is the encoder able to handle the uncompressed signal that I
am trying to encode? Any ideas?

Thanks

Andrew

Subject: Cannot stream from Matrox Digi-Suite PC

I have an IBM Intellistation, dual PIII Xeon processors, 512MB RAM, NT, SCSI
HD's and Matrox Digi Suite LE. Normally I have a Digi S Video player
attached to it from which I capture into Discreet Edit 6.0 without any
problems. Some engineers on the TV side of the company recently re-routed
my tape player to come through a Matrix which they control and give me an
SDI Input from my tape player, again causing no problems. By doing this I
am able to gain access to the broadcasts from the TV side as well, so I have
been asked if I can stream one of the shows across the web as a
demonstration. But when I go into Windows Media Encoder 7.1 and select
Matrox codecs as my video input and Matrox Digi WaveForm for Audio and click
ok I get an unspecified error every time. Is this a problem with the matrox
card, am I picking the wrong inputs to enable broadcasting of this input?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Andrew
