Can a skin be created that doesn't have the minimize option button?
Then this pops up as the stand alone player.

You could use HTA instead of HTML files as long as it's a local intranet or
you can distribute the HTA file some how.
The HTA files work just like html files but have more security options like
minimize = no which is what you want.

Sounds illegal to me ;-)
Guess productivity is not an option there if all they can do is watch the
video. There is an "Always on top" option that you might be able to trigger.
Whether you can keep your audience captive or not... no clue.

Is there any way to prevent viewers from minimizing either a web page or a
standalone player (with or without skin). (WMP 7.1 only)
If a viewer is connected to my server, I wish to have them either watching
or not connected.
Thanks.

Of course, QT support this and many other models.

I can even have translucent progress/volume/transport controls right on top
of my video. OR, I can have one QT movie controlling all aspects of another
(size, transport, shape, everything. ) This is all cross-broswer, can be
done in different frames, and is very easy to do. Why can't WMT do this, or
can it and I just don't know?

Sprites, atoms, and tracks like that are what I would love to see win WMP.
Pretty pictures are nice,
but give us the power to do whatever we want very easily.
