Hi,
There's a showcase section on PlayStream at www.playstream.com that has
several different WMA bitrates for different clips. The screen image has a
"low" and "High" bitrate toggle on it which you'll need to click to access
the high bitrate images.

Subject: WMA vs Mp3

Could someone point me to a comparison of sound quality between mp3 at 128
and the different bitrates of wma? I assume that 96k wma is better quality
than 128k mp3 (as the claims are that 64k is almost as good)?

Also could someone comment on the status of the wmencoder8? How long before
this is released, anyone noticing issues with wma's encoded with this beta,
are there risks associated with encoding files with the beta?

I ask because we have quite a bit of wav data that we would like to convert
to the smallest file sizes but do not want to sacrifice sound quality... the
quality must be at least as good as the best 128mp3 encoding.

Any dialog on this is appreciated.
