This would be very difficult today using NetShow, the client is based on
Dshow which technically can share the audio device but the Encoder uses the
older ACM technology that will require an exclusive lock on the device.
Your needs seem to suggest a conferencing product such as netmeeting is more
appropriate, however if you want these 2 people to converse with an audiance
listening, then you might have a hard time getting this to work today.

Subject: Duplex audio possible ?????????

Is it possible to send and receive audio streams at the same time. A
client machine has to play the live stream it receives and at the same
time, it has to send the audio stream generated at its end. Both clients
have a mic and the encoder is running at either ends.

I faced a problem in this scenario :

If media player is playing a stream, iam not able to start encoder. The
encoder reports an error - The selected audio codec returned an
unexpected error.

The media player plays only the audio and video and has nothing to do
with the mic, I believe. Or is there any special seting for enabling
duplex audio ( NetMeeting uses this kind of setting).

Thanks in advance........
Sundar
