hmmm seems they just bought VIVO, which had the best streaming audio i
ever heard on modem, but I didnt deploy it because nobody wants to download
a plugin. Everybody has the realaudio plugin already, so we used
realaudio. It sounds garbled like its underwater, and as an audio engineer,
I hate it but, it's what john q public wants. VIVO was much better. I wish
gates would buy them all and make the NT5 OS stream, I'm sick of all the
different approaches. Realaudio sound like crap. Maybe the G2 is better,
too many changes, content providers cannot keep up, users wont keep
changing software. Also, lots of content folk are on MAC, and the tools
for it are weak for obvious reasons

I think the java-based solutions are promising on this level, but all Ive
heard so far are sub-standard in audio quality.
