Ugo,

Along with whatever READER that you're using, you need to get an "IFD
Driver" module for that specific reader (probably from Siemens, in your
case) and install it.  It's not clear from your msg whether you had/did
this or not.

The COM/OLE component(s) that you mentioned are probably the 'Service
Provider' or SP for a specific CARD (i.e., not for a reader), as the IFD
drivers are drivers (either VxD or WDM).

Anyway, if you have both an IFD Driver for your reader, and an SP for your
card, I believe that you specify then name of the READER in the
AttachByIFD call, not the name of the CARD...
