Patrick,

the problem you see is a bug in the ifdtest program.
You can safely ignore this AV. It'll be fixed in the next release of the
WHQL test suite.

        Subject: Applicaiton error in IFDTEST of WHQL

        Hello,

        My serial dumb reader driver pass correctly the parts A, B and C of
the WHQL
        IFDTEST program. I encounter no error in the part D with the both
smart
        cards IBM and Bull. But I've got some problems with the smart card
Siemens.

        Please, see below the screen log :

        C:\Scard97>ifdtest

        [...]

        ================================
        Part D: Smart Card Provider Test
        ================================
        Insert any of the following PC/SC Compliance Test Cards:
            *  SIEMENS NIXDORF
           >>  Please insert smart card

        Testing card SIEMENS NIXDORF
           Try to set incorrect protocol T=0 Passed
           Set protocol T=1                                    Passed
        Test No.  1
           Buffer boundary test                                Passed
        Test No.  2
           SELECT FILE EFwtx

        C:\Scard97>

        Then a dialog box "Ifdtest - Application error "displays the next
message :

        The instruction at "0x01003cc1" referenced memory at "0x00000001".
The
        memory could not be "read".

        I've try to debug my driver with SoftIce. But the error is in the
IFDTEST
        program, and I don't know what I can do. Could any body help me ?

        In advance, thank's a lot.
