Subject: DCOM and firewall

We have a scenario where we need Microsoft IIS to communicate with a DCOM
server through a firewall. We don't currently need callbacks, but it should
be supported. The DCOM server is also used by other clients inside firewall
using TCP.

Can anyone please give me some recommendations regardng protocol to use:
UDP, TCP, Tunnelling TCP, etc.
Pitfalls, experiences?

Both IIS server and DCOM server can be NT 4.0 or W2K (we _can_ require W2K)

I've checked the archives for this mailing list, and the Microsoft white
papers :
Using Distributed COM with Firewalls
(http://www.microsoft.com/com/wpaper/dcomfw.asp), and
COM Internet Services
(http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/gomsdn.asp?TARGET=/library/backgrnd/html/CIS
.htm)
but didn't find what I was looking for.

Rune Christensen
