I do not know how robust it will be (or how
complex to implement it) and also the server
has some methods called by client. Please let
me know if you know some options.

I know I'm jumping in late ... but from the requirements in this mail why
not use FTP.  And if this has already come up I apologise, but feel free to
tell me to read the whole thread before wading in!
