Imports System.Security.Cryptography.Xml

in VB.NET i obtein "the class not found"

You should try the CAPICOM@DISCUSS.MICROSOFT.COM alias next time.

As for how this is done with CAPICOM you use the Utilities object to do
Base64 encoding and decoding.
