IE only looks for a client certificate in the current user MY (or
"personal") certificate store.

Do you know if a certificate path can be a floppy disk?

I'm not talking about exporting the certificate into a floppy, that is
very easy. But forcing the browser to select a certificate from the
floppy or at least providing a browse button for the browser to select
the location of the certificate?

In other words can I have a Certificate store on a floppy with the
certificate itselft and when I'm browsing the HTTPS website select the
certificate without importing the Cert?

Correct. When the SSL3_SHAMD5 hash type is used, no OID is placed in the
signature block.

As I remember that "non-pure" hash does NOT have OID.

MSDN gives the MD5 and SHA1 hash OID.
SHA hash OID is 3021300906052b0e03021a05000414.
CPSignHash and CPVerifySignature check this hash OID.

what is SSL3_SHAMD5 hash OID?or SSL3_SHAMD5 has no hash OID. Can anybody
tell me?

Janet
