Our current plan is to support AES/TLS in the Longhorn release of
Windows. We may backport support for this to earlier versions of Windows
as well if there's sufficient customer demand. We'll see...

John

I don't see it on the Internet Standards page at
http://www.rfc-editor.org/categories/rfc-standard.html or on the archive
page at http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/std-index.html but TLS itself (RFC
2246) doesn't seem to be in std status either. So waiting for an RFC to
become "standard" is not always feasible. (And certainly Microsoft
didn't wait for TLS become an Internet "standard" before incorporating
it into the SChannel
CSP.)
