Just guessing. Did you set any structure member alignment in the debug mode
and not in the release mode?
Also, make sure you initialize all the variables. The debug build does this
for you.

Tried both of em.....no success.

One more thing which i found out now is. The Crypto functions inside
"Advapi32.lib" works fine....for eg
CryptacquireContext,CryptCreateHash etc etc.....
but the ones in crypt32.lib doesn't work.......

I think you should try Release MinDependency or Unicoce Release
MinDependency.

I am facing a weird behaviour.
I have developed a full fledged "Crypto" COM componet using ATL 3.0.I have
tested it throughly in "Debug"
mode.
Now when i build the same component in "Release Unicode Minimum Size" or
"Release Minimum Size"
the component is failing.

It fails to verify digest - the function "CryptVerifyMessageHash()"fails.
similarly lot of other cryptoAPI functions are
not working as they should.

Can someone explain me this behaviour. Remember it works perfectly in
"Debug" build.
