Subject: EFS certificate

Hi,

we have generated a basic EFS certificate with the Microsoft CA. The
public/private keys are managed by our own developed CSP. The
certificate is then installed in the MY store and we have manually
configured the registry (...\EFS\CurrentKeys\CertificateHash) to tell
EFS to use this certificate.
During the first try to use EFS (to crypt) a new certificat is generated
and installed in the MY store. Our certificat is not used.

I have checked our certificat and compared it with the one created by
EFS. They are quite similar (public key, serial number... are of course
different).
Does someone know what kind of check EFS do to verify if the certificat
which is registered can be used or not ? Or any idea why EFS refuses to
use our certificat ?

Any help would be appreciated

Laurent
