Hi Mike,

You can export your cert to a PKCS7 store by simply using CertMgr
wizard. The simplest way to invoke CertMgr wizard is through IE. From
IE, click Tools/Internet Options/Content/Certificates, and the wizard
should pop up. Now select the cert and click Export. On the Export File
Format page, select "Cryptographic Message Standard - PKCS #7
Certificates (.P7B)" and optionally check the box for "Include all
certificates in the certificate path if possible". When done exporting,
the file saved is a degenerated PKCS7, and is what so-called "PKCS7
store".

Hope this helps.

Daniel Sie

I'm trying to verify some PKCS7 handling in our code, and wanted to know
if there is anyway for the Windows 2000 Certification Authority to
generate PKCS7 stores? I see options for CertReq which can do X.509 DER
and base-64 X.509 DER.

Thanks.
