All,

Outlook 2000 requires that one specify a signature cert
and an encryption cert in order to create an S/Mime
security profile for the user.

In some cases, organizations do not want to use encryption
for e-mail, just signing.

If a user has a signing-only cert, and no encryption cert,
how can Outlook be set up to use only the signing cert, without
forcing the user to select a non-existent encryption cert?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.
