Peter
The UI comes up because when the key was created the CRYPT_USER_PROTECTED
flag was specified. If this flag value is not specified then you won't have
UI come up on key usage.
Thanks Jeff

Subject: Silent call to CryptSignHash: is it possible?

Hi everyone,

I was developing a cryptographic ASP component using CAPI, and I suddenly
hit a brick wall: the method CryptSignHash (and all other methods that use
it such as SignCertificate etc), when using my private key, always displays
a warning message box. This behavior is completely unacceptable for a server
component as it hangs up the web server. Is there a way around it? How can
I disable the message? Should I take it, CAPI is not suitable for developing
server components?

Thanks a lot!

Peter Persits
