Hello all,

Has anybody been able to use Triple DES with the simplified
messaging functions? (anybody from Microsoft even?)

I would very much like to be able to offer Triple DES (especially since
it
is required for the S/MIME interoperability tests being conducted by
RSA),
and I know the enhanced provider should be able to use it, however,
whenever I call CertAlgIdToOID(CALG_3DES), it returns NULL, and
if I call CryptEncryptMessage and tell it to use the OID
"1.2.840.113549.3.7"
(which is the proper OID for Triple DES) it returns NTE_BAD_ALGID.
I assume I will have the same trouble receiving, but since I cannot
send, and know of no other S/MIME softshare using Triple DES,
I can't test that.

If anybody has any ideas, or comments, I would greatly appreciate it.

To Microsoft: is this a bug? (Or perhaps a feature which has not yet
been added?)
