As per http://www.cifs.com/spec.html  the latest CIFS draft is available
at ftp://ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-leach-cifs-v1-spec-02.txt. But
If you go there ( I mean ,
ftp://ietf.org/internet-drafts/draft-leach-cifs-v1-spec-02.txt ) it
says:

"This Internet-Draft has been deleted. Unrevised documents placed in
the
Internet-Drafts directories have a maximum life of six months. After
that time, they are deleted. This Internet-Draft was not published as
an RFC."

So looks like there is no further work in IETF on CIFS.

Has this CIFS effort moved elsewhere?
I see references of CIFS in SNIA's "File System Area"....is that a
permanent move?
