A follow-up to my previous post: Would it help to re-sample the audio using 
- -srate?  The manpage mentions this switch, but I don't see how I could use 
it.

Is there anything I am doing wrong with the encoding parameters? I checked the 
documentation and also searched the web and all I found about NTSC DVDs was 
to use  -ofps 23.976, which is what I did.

I don't think it is a problem with the DVD as it plays fine in MPlayer, but I 
will try another DVD just to make sure it is not DVD specific.

Any help will be highly appreciated.
