How about if the History could be displayed just like the bookmarks,
accessible under the communicator menu.  It wouldn't need to be the full
history, but maybe 15 folders containing 20 urls each.  I would use it,
all the places I commonly visit would be in top twenty.
The reason I suggest this is because just like with the bookmarks I'd
rather access a menu for quickness instead of opening up a window.
