On a website, mouseover a link to another page could pre-load that page. 
  For users with a slow connection, this would be really useful.  I 
currenty (over)use the tabbed window feature for this.  If I am reading 
an article and see something I know I will want to read, I open it in 
another tab, in the background.  How about an option to do an extended 
mouseover (or middle-click) on a link and have it pre-load in the 
background?  It would give a slow connection the appearance of being 
much faster.
