Hi, everyone on Mozilla i18n Volunteer QA list and friends on Mozilla
i18n newsgroup and mailing list:

I am writing to you about a specific feature which actually needs real
testing/checking. I would appreciate it very much if people who are
interested in this issue will download the latest build and test your
favorite fonts with User-defined encoding setting. The feature bug which
got fixed recently for Win/Unix/Mac is that of implementing
User-defined. This is not just a menu item -- it has to work correctly
with all 1-byte fonts which may or may not be using Unicode codepoints
within it. Any build startign on 6/15/2000 shouuld contain support for
this.

1. Set the fonts in Mozilla you have that you typically use for
User-defined under Communicator or Navigator.
2. Then try out web pages which need to be looked at under this special
encoding and see if every character is coming out correctly.
3. Please try out as many special fonts as you have access to.

The implementation backend and ideas are discussed in the following bug:

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6588

If you see problem, please file a new bug rather than opening this RFE
bug.

- Kat
