Mozilla uses an abstracted toolkit interface for most of its windowing code.
It does most of its own widget rendering so it doesn't use MFC for windows.
Have a look at the interface here:
http://lxr.mozilla.org/seamonkey/source/widget/public/nsIWidget.h
Each platform that is supported needs to create an object implementation for
the the windowing toolkit in question.
