Think of the through "live-wire" a background applet would be able to monitor
the client's activity and send it to somewhere else, which leads to a privacy
problem. Maybe before an applet is allowed to be long-life, a warning message
should popup saying that "This page contains Java(tm) applets that will stay
resident when you switch page, however this may cause privacy problems. Do you
want to a) keep them alive and continue, or b) kill them all?"
