Hello,

i have two questions refering to the standard security functions of Netscape
Communicator:

1) Is it possible to use standard browser security functions (e.g. https)
with 40 Bit session key from Java-code without implementing own
security-code (e.g. SSLeay, ...) functionality ? I want to establish an
encryption link between a Java-client and a corresponding server only using
netscape standard functions !

2) Is it possible to use the netscape communicator security certificate
database when an applet wants to make use of the standard security features
or is it necessary to use PKCS#12-Files for authentication features when
using a Java-implementation ?

Any ideas ?
Ciao Rene
