Actually, editor shouldn't be getting built with the SeaMonkeyBrowser module, 
so you shouldn't be running into this problem at all. Someone added the
editor directory to the list of default directories to descend (listed in the
toplevel Makefile.in). This has been fixed.

If you'd like to work on editor, use the SeaMonkeyEditor module, which pulls
the SeaMonkeyBrowser module as well as the mozilla/editor directory.
Then, pass the --enable-editor commandline option to configure.
