I think I found the problem.  The solution involves downloading a zip
file and extracting it in the installation directory.

We forgot to include some needed DLLs in the installer, so the driver
can't be loaded.  I made the needed DLLs available in zip files in
http://www.cwi.nl/~sjoerd/downloads/release/
Download the zip file for the ODBC driver you're using (i.e. either the
32 bit version or the 64 bit version), and extract it into
...\MonetDB\MonetDB ODBC Driver\bin
Alternatively, you can copy the files libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll from
your MonetDB\MonetDB5\bin folder to the above mentioned folder.
