these same pentium M's do not have SSSE3 so Moblin is not going to work
on there anyway.
(and yes I have a laptop with such a pM.. and no I can't run Moblin on it)

PAE is needed for support for the Execute Disable (sometimes called NX) feature,
that gives programs a non-executable stack. This is one of the elements of the defenses
against buffer overflows... quite a relevant feature for devices that are highly
connected to the internet.
